Abiding Heart is not your typical earrings or quick-fashion accessories brand. Each piece is lovingly handcrafted, designed and pieced together for You! Yes, You - whom we say and proclaim as Beautiful! The heart behind Abiding Heart is to empower women: to dream again, to live again, to know and BE Beautiful, Be You!
Personally, as I shared the vision more and deliver the message from the founder's heart to buyers, that, remember, "You are Beautiful" (for men gifting to their female friends, for them to pass on the same message". Yet, it was when I spoke to the customers this message and looked them in the eyes that I realised that I am burning the same very message in my own heart. This was powerful for me.
I never thought I would be one to sell anything fashionable, not to say earrings or even giving others advice in the colour choices, earring shape and size, etc. But the more I interact with others and do it, the more enjoyable this becomes. Whether good or not - customers can tell me :p.
I am also so proud and inspired by my friend Yong Xing for giving a refugee woman a chance to do something with her hands. To teach, do quality checks, to trust another - that's leadership. And for those of you who had purchased an item from Abiding Heart, we would like you to know that this also goes into the empowering of the marginalised and those who could not otherwise earn an income for themselves. It also gives them the dignity of living too!
Lastly, this whole journey with Abiding Heart has been filled with warmth - I made new friends, I got to reconnect with some just by being at the pop-up. I saw friends supporting friends (which is so heart warming), and being on my own very early start entrepreneur myself, it bears the hallmark of community. That we are all in this together and that we are never alone.
